Standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation
Gym+ has zero tolerance for the sexual abuse and exploitation of children and teens. This page describes what is prohibited, how we detect, remove and report this kind of content to the authorities, and how to reach the person responsible for child safety at ALAS TECHNOLOGY LLC.
If a child is in danger right now, call the police: 190 in Brazil, 911 in the United States or your country’s emergency number.
1. Zero tolerance
The following is prohibited anywhere on Gym+, without exception:
- child sexual abuse material, whether real, drawn, edited, manipulated or generated by computer or artificial intelligence;
- content that sexualizes a child or teen, even without nudity, through pose, framing, context or text;
- grooming: asking for photos, a meeting, secrecy or private contact from someone who is or appears to be a minor;
- sextortion, threats to share images and any form of trafficking or exploitation of minors;
- sharing, requesting, selling or pointing to where to find this kind of material.
There is no prior warning and no second chance. The account is banned and the case is reported to the authorities.
2. Age and social features
The features that let you see or talk to other people on Gym+, such as the link between client and coach, comments, videos, profile and @handle, are intended for people 18 and over. Coaches’ videos may not show minors working out. An account that appears to belong to a child using these features is reviewed and may be closed.
3. How we detect
- Before publishing: new photos and videos stay invisible to other people until they pass the automated check.
- Matching against known material: we compare images against lists of identifiers of already verified abuse material, maintained by recognized child protection organizations.
- Automated signals: when the check indicates that a minor may be present together with any sexual signal, the content is quarantined and is not published.
- Reports: every item and every profile has the Report option, with the specific reason Involves a child or teen. A single report with that reason hides the item from everyone until it is reviewed.
- Restricted human review: suspected cases are analyzed only by people designated and trained for this, within 4 hours, seeing the bare minimum necessary. No regular moderator has access to this material.
4. Removal, bans and preservation
- The content is taken out of circulation immediately, including cached copies.
- The responsible account is permanently banned, and media uploads are frozen from the first signal.
- We block re-registration with the same e-mail address and the same device.
- The material and the data needed for the investigation are preserved in isolated, encrypted storage with minimal, logged access, for the period required by law. After that, or earlier if the authorities ask, they are deleted.
- This material is never downloaded, forwarded, reused or shown to anyone who is not part of the process.
5. Reporting to the authorities
- NCMEC (United States): every confirmed case is reported to the CyberTipline of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children within 24 hours of confirmation, as required by U.S. law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A). NCMEC forwards the case to the authorities of the country involved.
- Brazil: we report cases to the competent Brazilian authorities, including the Brazilian Federal Police through the centralized channel set out in Decreto 12.880/2026 (Decree 12.880/2026), which regulates the ECA Digital (Brazil’s Digital Child and Adolescent Statute).
- Requests from authorities: we respond to legal orders and requests from the police, prosecutors and the courts, and we cooperate with investigations.
To protect the investigation, we do not tell the person who reported or the reported person the outcome of cases involving a child or teen.
6. How to report
In the app: tap Report on the item or the profile and choose Involves a child or teen.
By e-mail: safety@gymplus.life, with the account’s @handle and a description of where the content is.
Do not download, screenshot or forward the material, not even to us. Keeping or passing on this content is a crime, even if you intend to report it. Describe where it is and we will find it.

7. Child safety point of contact
ALAS TECHNOLOGY LLC has a designated person, with a backup, to handle child safety cases, respond to authorities and explain these practices. The contact is safety@gymplus.life, also reachable as seguranca@gymplus.life. Authorities may write to the same address.
8. Laws and rules we follow
- Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (Brazil’s Child and Adolescent Statute, Lei 8.069/1990), arts. 241-A to 241-E;
- ECA Digital (Brazil’s Digital Child and Adolescent Statute, Lei 15.211/2025), art. 27, and Decreto 12.880/2026;
- Marco Civil da Internet (Brazil’s Internet Civil Framework, Lei 12.965/2014), for record retention;
- 18 U.S.C. §§ 2258A and 2258B, in the United States;
- the child safety policies of the App Store and Google Play.
These standards complement the Community Guidelines, the terms of use and the privacy policy.
